Keene Farm (the home of Green Mountain Twisters and World’s Finest Granola) was established in1898 by the Wheeler family. The hilltop Keene Farm is comprised of very boney land - but the soil between the bones (stones) is VERY rich. For many years, it was worked as a small dairy farm. The last family to maintain a small dairy operation was the Keene Family in the 1940s and 1950s. In the 1960s, the Keene Farm and the surrounding properties were inhabited by back-to-the- landers, hippies and artists.
In 1995, Patrick purchased the old Keene Farm and began to bring back the land, fields, forests and buildings.
